Transversales is very glad to announce the release of « Unreleased & Rareties » spanning 1972-2002, revelatory collection of short and secret music by electronic music pioneer, Jean SCHWARZ. He served as an engineer at the CNRS in the Ethnomusicology Department of the Musée de l'Homme in Paris, and was a member of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales (G.R.M) from 1969 to 1999.

This compilation allows us to discover some of unreleased rarities from Jean Schwarz’s personal archives and unpublished recordings which were composed for the dance, screen or the performing arts.

Shake The Feeling: Outtakes & Rarities 2015-2021, Iceage's second full length for Mexican Summer, is a collection of non-LP cuts (or “misfit children,” as lead singer Elias Bender Rønnenfelt describes them) from the seven years during which Iceage made Plowing Into the Field of Love (2014), Beyondless (2018), and Seek Shelter (2021). As with all of Iceage’s albums, whether it be the sensual daring-do of their dark-hardcore masterpiece debut, the Flying Nun-dappled “Oi!!!!” of You’re Nothing, the shift to cowpunk gothic romanticism on Plowing Into the Field of Love, or the space truckin’ gospel-rock of their most recent albums, Elias Bender Rønnenfelt, Johan Suurballe Wieth, Jakob Tvilling Pless and Dan Kjær Nielsen make the impossible seem effortless.

Nachdem VOX LOW bereits zwei Alben und eine Remix-EP bei Born Bad Records veröffentlicht haben, ist es nun an der Zeit, eine Auswahl weiterer Singles und B-Seiten neu zu veröffentlichen. haben, „Sweet Sister Sorrow“. Von dem Song, der auf der Girlsville-Compilation-Kassette herauskam, über die
Singles, die auf dem in Georgia ansässigen Label Happy Happy Birthday To Me (HHBTM) veröffentlicht wurden, bis
hin zur Radiosession der Part Time Punks, die sie selbst auf einer EP veröffentlicht haben (und die auch als GedenkVinylsingle für die 30-Jahr-Jubiläumstour in Japan für ihr Album „Lovely“ herauskam). Und natürlich gibt es unzählige
Singles, Maxis, Vinyls und andere Songs (wie dieses Juwel für das Weihnachtsalbum, das wir 2012 herausgebracht
haben), die bei Elefant Records erschienen sind.

Das renommierte Soullabel Goldwax aus den 60er Jahren hatte ein straffes Release-Programm, dennoch blieben einige seiner Aufnahmen unvermeidlich auf der Strecke. Im Jahr 2000 kaufte Ace Records das Label und erlangte damit das volle Eigentum an den Bändern, was zu weiteren musikalischen Entdeckungen führte. Die Releases bei Ace und Kent in den letzten über zwanzig Jahren haben die meisten dieser Aufnahmen vor allem auf CDs gezeigt - dem Medium der frühen Jahre des 21. Jahrhunderts. In jüngster Zeit hat die wieder gestiegene Nachfrage nach Vinyl zu neuen 12"-Zusammenstellungen geführt, und als Ergänzung dazu hat Ace eine hübsche Box-Kollektion mit sieben 7inch-Singles zusammengestellt, die Soul-Sammler ansprechen wird.

15 Heavy Funk Rarities Presented As A Double LP Cold Heat is Eothen “Egon” Alapatt’s a follow-up to the famous Funky 16 Corners set he curated in the early 2000s. And like that one, Cold Heat is overflowing with great bits that had barely (or never) been heard by the rest of the world at large. Egon went through a range of rare singles, masters, and demos and came up with tunes that burn with a brightness that's undeniable. The grooves are all on the harder end of the James Brown Funky People side of the spectrum and some tracks are by names that finally got their due here, thanks to Egon, Now-Again, and some of the other funky forces doing the good work over the years.

Ane Brun hat das Jahr 2023 damit verbracht, die letzten zwei Jahrzehnte ihrer Musik zu rekapitulieren, in denen sie zehn Studioalben aufgenommen, unzählige Konzerte gespielt und sich als eine der beliebtesten Künstlerinnen Skandinaviens etabliert hat. Zum Abschluss dieses feierlichen Kapitels ihrer Karriere startet Brun heute in Helsinki ihre Jubiläumstournee und teilt eine weitere Sammlung mit ihren Fans. "Rarities 2" versammelt 14 Songs aus den Jahren 2007 bis heute, 10 davon bisher komplett unveröffentlicht. Zu den Highlights gehören Bruns Version von ABBAs "SOS", die 2009 live in Stockholm mit Benny Andersson von ABBA höchstselbst am Klavier aufgenommen wurde, und eine neue Version ihrer äußerst beliebten Coverversion von Beyoncés "Halo", die für die Akustikgitarre umgestaltet wurde.
